look at that ironing board on the front of that car

Might give them a bell for some advice on track-spec brakes…

I enquired some time ago for brakes for the Exige.
They laughed at the idea of supplying anything for a little dinky plastic car.
They were extremely rude and when I complained to their manager, he was as well.

Maybe you need 8 cyls or more in order to qualify to speak to them.

Anyway, their products gave me the impression of bling kits for the rich max Powr brigade. Better go somewhere serious, like AP.

then!

No excuses for being like that and dont deserve a job or a business!

There kits are manufactured for much larger, heavier cars which leave the factory with [censored] OEM setups, like a lambo gallardo for instance. There probably right to laugh at you, there is such a thing as overkill dont you know…

I can only speak from my own experiences with their kits in saying that I am very happy with the setup I have from them and so are many others who have owned heavyweight powerful cars. Yes the kit are expensive, but I have ultimately found that you only get out what you pay in for…

Best thing to do if your intersted is to arrange to go over and visit them to have your brakes fitted there, they will usually do you an amazing deal for pound notes (i.e covers the cost of going over) and while you are there you can wander around their modern manufacturing unit. Then why not stop off at hockenheim or the ring to test your new stoppers on the way back.

I would very much like to see you poo poo them once you have an idea of what they are doing and the results they get…

Didn’t get the last bit.

Whatever this meant, and however good their kits are, it doesn’t entitle to treat even potential customers like sh!t.

Dont knock something until you try it is what Im saying, Ok, so they pissed you off, but that doesn’t mean they are selling a bad product or are any less serious about what they do.

I totally agree though, no need to be rude to you and to be honest I’m quite surprised, the experience I have had and many other people I know has been nothing but first class,

Ok, so they pissed you off, but that doesn’t mean they…are any less serious about what they do.

Sorry, I disagree.

Somebody knowledgeable rings up and asks about something specialist and they dis him, so he speaks to the manager and the same happens. Shows extreme arrogance and lack of passion for their subject if you ask me. I know of no successful engineer with those attributes.

Oh I dunno Ian … just about every damn automotive company I think … especially LandRover

Jeez Louise, chill out guys. They dont do a kit for your car , , why not? cos it dont need them thats why. Get over it ratehr than complain to the boss.

I’ll have you know they were still machining my bells and fititing the callipers at 22.00 on a friday night…real lack of passion.

\

And they were probably thinking you weren’t serious, afterall it’s not like an Exige needs anything bigger than 295 (look at the Lotus MS kit) as has been prooved in 24 hour races and such like.

Didn’t most of the autobytel cars close up the brake vents so they could get up to temp easier?

Shouldn’t have told you that they were in stock - that’s poor

I’ve been looking after kids all day so perhaps I’m a little cranky. I’m still on Uldis’ side though.

Hey AndyD, I said successful. I bet the guys a Toyota aren’t like that with the Landcruiser.

If my developers ever did that with a customer I’d bitch slap them!

Ian

Go Ian! Go Ian! Go Ian! Go Ian! Go Ian!

If my developers ever did that with a customer I’d bitch slap them!
