Rubber Seal Below Doors

The rubber seal on the near side, below the bottom of the door of my S1 Exige seems to have been pushed in below the rear clam from about half way down - exposing the raw face edge of the lower clam, which has ended up in a few chips & damaged paintwork etc.

Can these be pulled out / repaired without the rear clam coming off? Any ideas on how to do it, as I had a quick go this evening & couldn’t seem to get hold of it.

Cheers

Mark

I’m assuming that you mean this:

if this is the case then just undo the three bolts under the sill and the single bolt in the leading edge of the B pillar and the clam edge can be gently pulled out. Reset the rubber edging, push the clam back so its a snug fit & then re-tighten the four bolts.

If you have the original Lotus rubbers, you might do better to swap to some heavier duty sheet edging strip.

where do you get the strip stuff from?

Fantastic, thanks, Steve - that’s exactly the bit I mean!

Where did you get the HD edging strip from, mate?
