Roof squeak

Anyone got any spray suggestions for curing this ^^^^

No NOT you Mr Pesky !!!

I used a lipsol stick when mine squeeked. Worked a treat, but obviously not sprayable.

Lipsol sounds better than the Fairy Liquid I’ve been using Jonny! How about Vaseline?

Nope, tried Vasoline (if you know what I mean).

I just ‘put up with it’…TADTS

Well, seeing as you appear to not want to take the advice I pm’d you, how about:

LSD… Limited Squeak Deterrent, available from all good coiffeurs

I said “No Pesky” lol …

Ok . here’s an old school photo … you were warned ! [image]

However, in the interest of fairness, this is the advice JFK chose to ignore:

[color:“blue”]Hi Mate

  1. Leave a piece of cheese on the pax seat for 2 nights running.

  2. On the 3rd night stay next to car, & hit the bastard mouse with a plastic fly swat. That will knock it out, but not make a mess on the seat, before you remove it for final despatch.

How the fook would I know how to cure a squeak, all S1s have a multitude of them!

See ya at Anglesey, then?

ROFL ! - quality advice as always!

How about some silicon rubber lubricant spray ? Or you could always take the roof off

Or you could always take the roof off

Then I’d be as slow as the Honda’s without my new fandango rodent scoop !!

Quite right too! Post belonged in the S2 section, it’s the response it deserved.

Right, the best thing is a proper tube of non setting silicone greese, do not and I stress do not use, vasoline, fairy, lipsil etc, all of these WILL rot rubber over time. The dealer just did mine and said they used vasoline (I did not bother checking) just took it home cleaned it off and re did it.
I have experience of the after effects of vasoline on rubbers and there is no way I would put it on my car, fairy is the same, very corrosive to metal and it dries out.
Go to a local plumbers merchants, its about 5 a tube.
