Roof Seals

Just noticed that my seal looks a bit crappy on one side? It lets a little water in when washing the car so will sort it (eventually!), but wondering if anybody else’s seal looks like this? The good side seal is excellent.

Also, Phil/Junks on SELOC is going to see if they can be remanufactured, so there might be finally be an option to replace those 20 year old rubbers, if there’s enough interest! Any photos of said seals would be appreciated…

If the P and D shape seals I’ve bought don’t work then I’m pretty stuck and would have to do OEM, so I could well be interested in Junks sorting some, will have to try my ebay seals first!

Think they will probably work ok. What are you doing with the old seals? Junks is looking for some to template up some new ones; if they’re goosed, would you be willing to donate or lend them?

If not, don’t worry - I can volunteer my seals in Nov when the car is parked up for the winter.

It is a new roof for an Exige conversion unfortunately so came bare.

Ah no problem - S1 elise hardtop seals are the same, so hopefully he’ll be able to get his hands on some.

junks wont, they are incredibly incredbly rare.

i have looked into remanufacturing them from Martins rubber which is just down the road, but tooling costs were scary as its such and odd shape with 3 or 4 different moluding on one seal.

I’ll look forward to hear how the ‘P’ and ‘D’ seals work out then!
