Rollcage

Sorry, can’t remember the particular thread, but someone had asked for a pic of the rollcage now fitted to my car. I bought the item from Randy http://www.hofmannsofhenley.co.uk/ & these pics are of the one in his car, as it was being prepared for the LOT Race Series:

Looks a simple job…

Just ordered one myself Rob… should be done in a couple of weeks.

Good man, great bits of kit, & don’t forget to order a “Dremel” too, Dave

Rollcage or rollbar…does it have a connecting bars to form an A pillar?

Steve

No bars going forward through the cabin to either the front roll hoop (windscreen surround) or the floor. Its rigidity (in the event of a capsize!) is enhanced by its bars secured in the engine compartment.

Personally, I’ve always been “scared” of having the “traditional” petty bar fixed from the rollover bar to the floor on the passenger side - wouldn’t fancy my chances of an exit via the passengeer side, if the driver’s door is against a tyrewall or tarmac.

Hope you’ve got permission to use those pics you stole off e-bay Rob

Not stolen, just “borrowed”

Who will object anyway, if it helps Randy sell his car, both he & eBay will benefit won’t they?

Are you wearing your shiny suit today, pretending to be a car salesman?

[color:“blue”] Washing a car, is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. You’ve got to caress the bodywork. Breathe softly and gently. And give every inch of it your loving attention. And make sure you’ve got a nice wet sponge.
