Guys about to order a cup 260 to replace the old NA exige. In Australia we get absolutely ripped off for options here as we have luxury car tax. To give you an idea a Cup 260 costs $157k thats about 100,000 GBP. Anyway I want an A-frame roll cage here. For legal reasons they dont come with the car they have to be fitted after purchase but they have quoted me 4700 GBP for supply only. Can they be purchased separately over there does anyone know, or is there someone who makes a T45 cage that is the same or similar design. I would rather ship it myself.
Yes you can buy it separately and the 260cup should come with the T45 roll bar as standard which has the appropriate mounting points for the a frame 
If you can get a full cage for this much you must be able the get an a frame for less 
I think Gav (tarmac terrorist) has some 2nd hand A frames, if the freight isn’t too expensive it might be the way to go?

Didn’t think you could put an A-frame into an S2 ?
it is what the cup cars can have as an option, they can all have the A frame if you have the the T45 roll bar
Confusion in terms I here think…
The old A-Frame was an A-Frame and Petty bar for S1 Elise/Exiges… As far as I know these won’t fit an S2.

Why not get get one made rather than shipping one?
I know he’s in Syd but none the less, why not contact Peter Muir at Bond Roll Bars? He’s been doing this for 25+ years. He does cages for all the major teams and will have done Elises and Exiges. I used him on my Grp A and N cars in years past and wholeheartedly recommend him. Top bloke and top experience.
yup, getting a bespoke one made locally has to be the way to go
I have a full cage in my S2 fitted by EA - it’s a Safety Devices - was less than 1K GBP I think…fitting is a different issue though !
