Terrible for him, hope he makes a full recovery as he is a very talented driver on track and (unusually for an F1 driver) on stage. Although it’s not the first big shunt he’s had, wasn’t it Kubica that had flying lessons into the barriers a few years ago? He was lucky to get away with that at the time.
Its going to be hard for him to win an F1 seat back. I’m sure he’s received a royal rollicking from his team. That will probably spell the end of extra curricular activities for all pro drivers, F1 and WRC.

I agree that teams may well limit other activites… Shuey a few years back and then Webber on his bike…
But then, life is dangerous too and nothing can stop bad luck. 
Reports are sounding more encouraging today, so let’s hope he finds his way back to an F1 seat soon!
