Oh great and knowledgeable S2 Exigiers…
I would like to fit retract seat belts alongside the full harness as I did on my S1
But it looks as if the cage uses the same bolt holes as the retract mechanism???
Does mean I am Fooked???

If its one of the older type A-frames then you are correct, you cannot run both as it uses the same bottom hole to fix it in place where you would locate the inertia belt mech.
There is one possiblilty but its not a cheap option.
You may be able use the later style A-frame which does allow for use of both as it bolts in further up the roll hoop. You would have to check to see if the welded inserts are there in the main roll hoop for it to bolt into (not all have them). However, even if you do have the extra inserts for it to bolt in the a-frames are £800+ and you would still have to buy inertia belts.
Wont the inertia belts and harness go on the same bolt? Slighty longer bolt maybe?
No
why not?
As far as I can work out the way the new cage is bolted to the original a frame prevents the belt end fitting in the same bolt. Not enough space…BUT it might be possible to make an extended bracket to fit the bolt and allow the retract mechanism to be attached higher on the roll age . needs to be carefully designed to be sure of a satisfactory result.
Gav can you understand my rambling??
No, youd still be better off looking to see if the main roll hoop has the fixings for the later style A-frame.
To do what you are saying you would have to remove the mian rool hoop to modify it. That would be a big, and very expensive job.
The A frame simply bolts in and out in situ, probably just need to remove the roof and seat to change it.
Because the two bottom fixings for the A frame use the same bolt holes thta would attach the retracting mechs for the 3 point system. No room left for them to go in.
The later aframes are shorter and attach to the main roll hoop further up leaving the bottom fixings free for the inertia belt mechs.
You can see here in this picture.
This is one of the early A-frames i have used on the build car.
You can see it uses the bottom fixings where the inertia belts would mount to the roll hoop.
If you look just above the bottom fixing you will see a unused insert welded into the back of the roll hoop.
These fixings are the ones used with the later style Aframe freeing up the originals for the 3 point belts.
If you have the two extra fixings in the main roll hoop then you need part no. 11 (you currently have part no. 11a).
You will be able to re-use all the original fixings from your old Aframe but you will need some new bolts and washers for the bottom fixins as you dont currently have them (item no. 9 + 10).
Infact they have gone up in price since i last looked!
best part of £1000+vat now!

If it is any help and just for conformation, i have a 2010 model exige with A frame and have both harness and inertia belts fitted.
Hi Top cat…interesting…if you get the chance to photograph the fitting I’d like to see how its done .
I can access the bolt area by simply bending the plastic cover out of the way…no unscrewing etc
Cheers.
I shall endeavour to get a picture for you. Not sure i can get a camera in there, but i will try.
