Resonator and Vacuum reservoir errrrr......

Hello, a couple of questions…

Got me car in the garage giving it a fettle. I noticed that the resonator valve is not there, and neither is the vacuum reservoir. Vacuum pipe goes straight to MAP sensor without a T piece to reservoir.

Is this and ok arrangement?

Had my idle control valve off to give it a clean. It rotates nice and freely, but when it is disconnected and I look in the valve hole in the fully off position, the valve is not closed, just a small 2mm gap, on the left (for explanations sake), then when I rotate the valve the proper gap opens on the right and the left gap closes.

Is this how it should be?
