Replacing Top Engine Mount

Anyone replaced this with an alternative part?

Interested to know if anyone has fitted the Eliseparts one:

That mount is very stiff. Looks the business, but a couple of people I know took it off (even on race cars) because they could not handle the vibration etc. I believe Geary is modifying it, but it would be worth checking.

The alternative is the mount from Bernard Scouse:

It might not look as good, but certainly Steve Butts and a couple of others rave about it.

Thnaks for the info. i had looked briefly at the Auto Teknox one but other than a small picture and a price there’s not alot to go on.

I agree, I used the Elise Parts mount pictured for about 18 months with my K series and it is very harsh. The standard rubber bushes that come with it are bloody useless, I got through three of them in as many months. Andy D made me a better one. But as has been said it is very harsh, I certainly wouldn’t want one on my road car.

Bernards mount looks very similiar to the VF engineering mounts I am using in my current Audi install and they seem very compliant. The car is easily road usable with no vibration, I would say go for Bernards.

Cheers
thanks for the response - the VF material:

I tried the Eliseparts one on my 135R (daily driver).

Took it off after one week - too harsh!

The silicone rubber part is the same as VF’s, I buy the parts from them.
