Replacing polycarb engine cover

The Exige engine cover is undoubtedly one of its more “bespoke” components. Are there likely to be issues if one ever needs to source a replacement and has anyone experience of doing this?

I need a new one - as its delaminating …frame coming away from the Polycarbonate. However … Lotus want 1200 quid for one - which is robbery … I talked to the company that that makes 'em …Pat Thomas wanted 60% of full price for 2nd hand one - which is still too much.

I may have one available, complete with gas struts, soon-ish.
