yeah blow torch the joint, angle the flame into the join and it’ll help free the joint.
Years of working on 80s VW lost me DAYS to seized bolts.

I only just got a ratchet set, not got a blow torch to hand
guess ill have to keep hitting it with a hammer :-S
What you are trying to do is break the joint between the 2 pipes, heat even if it is a from a cheap blow torch for plumbing will be better than none at all, does it twist yet?
yeah just a halfords job for 15 will do, just get some heat in it to break that rusty bond.
JonnyFox will hire you his Dremel…plus he’ll chuck in a Villa season ticket for free
Im not sure how it could twist. Looking at the stage 3 box there are 3 or 4 slits in the pipe which I assume just slide onto the cat section?
You have to twist the box round whilst the cat pipe is held in place by the manifold, it is difficult to explain
Any chance you would be free to pop over one eve (in Rayleigh). I will have another look at it tonight.
If the pipe has a slit it slides over the non slit pipe…Try going to a proper shop and have them do the work, watch them and you will save your knuckels for the next Lotus adventure…
Rubber mallet and a plank of wood done the job exhaust fitted
I’m sure I remember reading that you only need 2 rubber mounts on stage 3/SS exhausts due to it being much lighter? but now I’m not sure. Can any one confirm?
