Just got back from home after a blast in the Exige. At high revs the battery light is staying on, flickering at low revs and staying off at tick over - alternator cooked?
Any suggestions where to buy a replacement - Eliseparts are looking for 155!
Avoid any cheap unbranded ‘too good to be true’ stuff on eBay. I bought one a while back out of curiosity - dreadful quality, even the female thread for the tensioning screw failed just winding the screw in finger tight.
There are some Denso ones available on there which are ok but only rated to 65A not the 85A of the OE fitment. I got one of these too, it ‘looks’ and fitted fine but I’ve not actually used it yet!
eBay clicky
Other than that I guess you’re into second hand or reconditioned units.
Try Wood Auto Supplies:

or
http://www.woodauto.com/Component.aspx?Ref=ALT10027
Parts for the latter Bosch unit are all available from them too:

I’ve had starter motor parts from them and can happily recommend - their service is excellent and often they’ll help diagnose problems over the phone and just sell you the bits you need
Got mine re built by a specialist in Coventry for about 50 I think. Can’t find the name though… Google???
Fine ever since.

Cheers for the advice gents - thats next weekend sorted then
