Removing the seatbelt assembly - Torx bolt?

Yet another question for the experts

What size is the torx bolt that is fitted to the seatbelt assembly?

and is it that the only bolt, or are there other bolts I need to remove in order to remove the seatbelt assembly?

here is a pic of the seatbelt assembly :

Hey Joel
It is the only bolt not including the one above which is also the same size 50. It may be more complex with air bags?

Hang on you have got airbags and my assembly is diferent without them but mine was a 50…I’ll check the big black book a sec! Real time

No size mentioned but mine was a 50, just make sure you remove both battery cables, insulate them and have no key in the ignition before starting the job!

Spa, N’burg ???

Hi John

Thank you for your help and your piece of advice!

I think I better take the car to a professional and have the assembly removed there together with the airbags.

Because I don’t know if the airbags will deploy automatically as soon as I plug the battery back in and ignite the engine, if I have the seatbelts removed.

Count me in for a trip to the NorthLoop or Spa, both are only 1-1,5 hours away from where I live

Excellent news about July Joel I’m sure MarkyB will see this!

I’ll forward you copies of the service notes later today or latest tomorrow (my service centre has the book right now) regards both seat belts and airbags if you need them. Just pm me your email address?
