Anyone fitted one one of these to an aircon equipped car. I know most have junked the aircon but I would rather keep it at it works to a fashion and I’d rather have it than not.
I know its been discussed in various threads before but I can’t find a definitive “YES” in any of the previous threads. Mind you I could have missed it !
Any help would be greatfully appreciated as I’ve got some mods to do befoe the Donnington day and this is one of them.

Yes, the Elise parts (the only one I have any experiance with) remote thermostat WILL fit on an A/C equiped car.

are you sure? I thought as standard it uses the heater circuit as main bypass flow…
Absolutly 100% positive!!
It does use the heater as the main bypass flow, you just need to cut the hose to suit and it all goes together a treat!

hmmm… IIRC the A/C cars have a valve closing the heater circuit when the cabin controls are set to cold (it does also make sense, if you want a cool cabin). IMHO it is possible to make it work, but the bypass should be re-routed with a new hose.
