Remember that wide body Exige

Remember seeing a shot of it on a low loader. It is a kit which will be for sale in Japan soon. Here are some more pics. looks good from the back not sure about the front fin type things.

there are some good point to this but I don’t like:

  • the running boards

  • the strakes on the end of the front splitter

cant see how either of these will survive on the road?

And it needs a rear wing!

Not entirely sure I like it either - for exactly the reasons Steve says…

Definately needs a rear wing & I dont like the things on the end of the splitter.

They also need to sort out the roof air scoop. It looks better and more agressive with a bigger scoop on it but that one looks like its been knocked up by a few first formers in a metal work class.

YUCK

i like the colour

a bit toss lookin me thinks - no need

Only going to add weight and cock up any aerodynamic advantage it had in the first place (if these was any)??

Definately not as nice as the “original”, now in its racing livery (& promoting Proton ):

Back looks OK but the rest is hideous. The racer looks amazing though

Looks like a Blue Peter model

Tim.

A rather artless bit of work with little sympathy for the original design. The proper Lotus one looks massively better.

er… despite how stick-on that kit looks… i dont really see the point? Surely you will need to start tuning the engine rather drastically to try and save some of the cars performance. Why the hell make a bodykit for a car whos whole emphasis is bare bones light weight??

Looks good from the rear, but to my eyes is bloody awful from every other angle. Bet it weighs a ton too. Definitely one for the Max Power types…

Agree with those comments 100%

Feckin’ awful IMHO

Probabaly has HUGE downforce though

Or even -ve lift

Probabaly has HUGE downforce though

it would if you load those running boards with bags of cement/gravel or took your friends out for a drive ala gangster style

I think if the roof scoop wasn’t say gapeing that’s help hold the roof line in place, keep the curves a bit more.

Then those silly bits on the front… Need to go.

But the running boards, gangsta style-e, I think are OK, don’t look to bad, and the S1 style front clam overlap is very good indeed! Much better than the Elise Coupe.

But still a bit MaXXed for my liking… But I do like it sans rear spoiler, it has a good poise without it IMHO.

The racer does it for me.

Initially, the widebody kit looks nice from a distance, and then you get close.

I Guess most guys know the deja-vu feeling looking back at their romance-life : I can live with the front, but the back is a bit over the top, those “front-fins” have to go. What do you mean 2 oil-coolers, the air-scoop is to big (can it ever be to big ? ), generates huge downforce, the runningboards take the egde out, needs a spoiler, black-is-beautiful… Well, basically, read all the comments above and you’ll get the point

I guess the thing they say about men and their cars is true

I guess the thing they say about men and their cars is true

What’s that? A flippy flappy spoiler means they have a small willy, all theirs girlfrinds will be unfullfilled, and while having the libido of a rabbit unable to act upon it other than using “the sock”.

Is that the one or am I thinking something different???
