On my M62, I had the pulley in the oven at around 200-250c for a good while, greased up the pulley shaft, quickly took the pulley out the oven, and it just slid onto the shaft. This worked at the second attempt. On the first, I dicked about with it and it cooled and locked half way on… Cue trip to the local garage to remove it again with their press… You literally have a few seconds to get it out and onto the shaft before it cools too much…
