In Halfrauds yesterday and they are doing Mobil 1 15/50 for 38 for 5litres. Looking at Opie oils that looks like a bargain
Any other current/recent suggestions on alternatives ???
Tried the search but it’s SFR is running lean (that’s Search For Results)
I use MOTUL 300V Competition 15W50 in the 2-11.
I would use something a bit thinner for a 2ZZ-GE. 5W40 or 10W40 should be fine. 15W50 unless its used for extreme temperatures(racing) is a bit think IMO. The standard oil recommended by Toyota for the 2ZZ is 5W30.
Millers CFS 10w60 in mine.

I spoke to Opie recently, told them I wanted to use Mobil 1, they recommended 0-40

Valvoline is another oil I have used A LOT with great results.(over 500,000 miles)
Only oils I’ve had continual problems with over the years with car engines is Castrol.

same here for me
we use Motul in everything in various forms, 5w40 generally in 2ZZ although we ran 15w50 for the race cars in the Brands 1000km race
the Motul gear oil and brake fluid is excellent as well
