Anyone seen this recall as posted on the Lotus BBS this morning ?Elise MK1 & Exige, build dates from 01.10.1999-31.01.2001Vin numbers XHD37980 to YHC32250Wonder what this one is ?
RobI think the only new bit relates to the Elise Mk2. Surely your car has had all the recall checks??? (Petrol filler pipe, ECU, & brake pipe (on aircon cars)are the Exige recalls I remember!).If you’re worried, get Andy Plant at the factory to run a check on your car - you will need to give him the full VIN number. He checked mine out a couple of months ago - all present & correct ;D
Hi RobYep, had all the recall bits done apart from the ECU. Love the way she runs and never had the 5500rpm problem, dont’t want to risk the upgrade cos I couldnt get it reversed !Didn’t realise Lotus just keep adding their new recalls to the extensive existing list !Used to get them first hand in the old days !!CheersRob
