Rear discs ?

[quote=moomin]Hopefulley Dave will get Nitron to make some rotors to fit the rears in the future, like you say the Nitron fixed bells are a good match to the AP fronts , I’m not sure how long it will be and I suppose it all depends on how much interest there is for them if there made at all .
Dave seems to have the Lotus thing as bad as the rest of us

I’ve probably got the Lotus thing worse than most!!!
That bad I started buying so much stuff I’ve had to start selling some!!!
I want some fixed bells on the rear of my car so…

I run the elise parts ones as well, no issues with fitment either, they certainly match the 308mm AP grooved quite well for looks too which was a bonus

Nitron fixed rear bells to take 290 ap rota’s now ordered!!!

But how much will they be? Be interesting to see how much this package weighs as well?

We use a caliper extender on the rear brembos and run Performance Friction 295’s with aluminium bells.

I’m too thick to work out how to add pictures here but I can e-mail one if someone drops me a note.

Will this mean that the gap from the pad to the bell with the Nitron discs and bells are closer than the EP ones Dave ?

I am guessing it would be the same whatever disk/bell u use if that is the standard caliper location?

I would think it will be about the same!!
One way round that would be to use the bells for the 295 discs
Remove about 3mm from the outside edge of an ap 295 disc.
However that becomes expensive!!
The reason for using the set up like that is the disc will fit front or rear with standard calipers.

Standard caliper location there, the only cure would be a larger bell and less material on the disc which would be lighter but not have as much heat capacity? And who makes discs like that?

Neil.

Watch this space so to speak
Have asked for such a disc to fit our front bells!!!
Will mean that the rear pad is within 5mm of the bell and only about 1-2mm of the disc centre not being used by the pad.
Should have an answer on cost and lead time in a couple of days - hopefully
