I have DS1.11 as my front brake pads and am very happy with them.
I have worn my rear discs out , so will in turn replace the rear pads.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or pads they prefer to use in the rear, OEM brakes on a s2 exige?

Ran those on my older car and loved them!
Personally I’ve always ran the same pads/disco combo all around, but if you’re after something with a bit more bite, carbon Lorraine rc6?
Only issue you’ll have is brake dust/squeal. if you run your car in the winter the salt water can break down the material/backing though (experienced it once when I lived in Scotland)
It’s the rears I am changing. Perfectly happy with the front combo

Mintex 1155. Or 1166 for a lot more track use.
I have run the 1144 for 5 years (and Elise before that), they have been fantastic, good from cold, no fade and predictable.
Have used CL before and hated them, noisy and nowhere as good as the Mintex.
On the rears, yes?

Rule of thumb on the Exige is you can never have enough rear brake efficiency!
I must admit to finding the limit 315mm discs and Performance Friction 01 on 2 pot MS callipers, once back to 308mm discs rear with 315mm at the front the rear end locking issues no longer existed.
What I’m saying is put a nice extreme pad in the back as well, if they do a DS11.1 for the rear use it, if not the most extreme pad you can versus the front.
The worst thing about the rear brakes is how flexible and heavy the callipers are!
That is interesting @Ade ! Its almost the opposite of all other cars I have driven. Ill have a look around for a DS1.11 rear.
If I cant find one can you recommend something suitably abrasive? - Ignore that , bought some rears. Not quite sure how they are so much more expensive than the fronts but hey ho!
I sort of agree with this but found that the rears would lock in the wet on track if they were too good. I only ever used a Pagid Blue but had 4 pot big discs on the front (ap) and big Alcon Discs on the back. I can’t remember the sizes.

I have always suggested, and will always suggest to use the same brake pad which has a COF at a given temp front and back… the balance of the brakes is dictated by the calipers as standard, only when you install a bias valve should you start looking at altering pad COF.
Personally, i would look for some DS11.1 for the rear or make an educated choice for another similar pad.
The DS11.1 COF is ~0.46 @ 200c - 700c with not much drop off.
RC5+ = 0.40
RC6 = 0.50
RC6E = 0.46
RC8 = 0.60
Personally i have RC5+ but i am going to get the RC6E for my next set as i know the RC6 are aggressive disc eaters.
