Glued today to an original frame.
Not the easiest job to be honest…
To be continued
After the first fitting the frame was modified:
The now useless profile was eliminated.

Cheers
The masking before the definitive glueing wss a pain in the neck…
Now that the frame is securely attached to the hatch, it was possible to open up the air entrance hole:
Good effort! Keep up the good work
It is a job I have to look forward to doing soon too!
Great work. I’m looking for a racing hatch for my S1. Where did you buy the frame and the hatch from? Is there any where anyone is aware of that sell a racing hatch with the frame already attached?
As far as I know you can’t buy the two parts assembled, but ask Dominic at

From my point of view the hatch should be adapted to the frame on your car to have a good fitting result.

A lot of TLC is needed anyway…
Dom from The Lotus Factory will sell you both the Motorsport Hatch and the frame, he may fit them together for you…not sure.
Interesting to note from their website that parts are from genuine factory moulds.
I really do not know if fitting the hatch on the frame without positioning it on the car would be a good idea…
I had to add almost 5mm on the hatch’s front to have the same gap size like on the rear:
Furthermore, with the frame supplied, if you do not cut out the air outlet at the front they will stay closed and
of course useless:
As said a lot of finishing work is needed anyway.
Now I finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.
