Honda…

Duratec…

VAG…

It will be a K Mike.

I suspect a 2 litre, but one of the Lotus techs was telling me that they had more success with a 1.9 …

Whichever, it will no doubt be stunning.

How is your car coming on Russ ?

Yes its true the winning car is for sale!!! It was eventually decided to go with the 1900 because of the cost of converting to the 2L, still it makes 237bhp @ 7500rpm but with really good torque rather than having to rev the gonads off it all the time… its up for sale through plans motorsport- so all offers please through the hOrgan
And just for the record NO I AM NOT BUYING A NOBLE…

Ah, but you were before the DNF on Saturday

Only kidding, No96, & see you Brands on the 20th

Oh the Jokes!!! I wasnt joking when I said I spent too much last year thats why the cars are up for sale, the only reason I was driving was by a very kind invitation by Lee to myself, Neil & Sam at Silverstone when 96 [censored] itself; BUT the Noble race car was only 3 weeks old before Donington and had been built from scratch, it is incredibly quick even with the road engine in; once the development gremlins are dealt with & the race engine strapped in then it is going to very hard to beat whatever its against best time on Thursday was 1.14 with it handling like a stuck pig so it should be good for 1.11 -1.10!!! which we should have seen after a lot of hard work on the Friday by the Noble factory team.

Not sure if I am at Brands as Sam is driving for Noble that weekend (more rumours no doubt), and I have other commitments, may see if I can get out to watch, are you going to the dinner on the 27th???

Without doubt, Lee’s car is very, very quick & also beautifully prepped. I do of course appreciate that the car was running for the first time (competitively), with the engine mounted longitudinally, so last Saturday’s overheating problem was not at all a reflection of its true reliability. Next season will hopefully see it perfrm to its full potential, both in the Mid Engined Series & presumably the British GT Series too.

Nah, me flat cap needs dry cleaning, plus they wanted extra dosh to feed my pet whippet.
