R888 tyre pressure

Hi,

Got up this morning and realised that I’m over due for some new rubber. I’ve had a read on the forum and have decided to give the R888’s a try. I just wanted to know what type pressure people would recommend for road use?

I did find another thread about R888 tyre pressures, but that was for track use and the answer seemed to be 28 PSI when hot, I assume that this will be different for normal road use?

Sorry if its a duff question but best to be safe than sorry.

Thanks in advance.

In this weather (ie cold) I’d start with 22f 23r, then adjust to personal preference (avoid over inflating as the centres will wear very quickly).

Hi Gav,

I ve just gone form Ao48’s to my first set of R888 s after 28000 miles.

I wish I had done so earlier, I find they are more feelsome and progressive at the limit, if perhaps slightly less ultimate grip, but much more enjoyable to drive. You can get the car moving/sliding without the sense that it 'll suddenly let go and punish you.

Softer sidewalls on R888’s the reason?

Im running 24 front and 25 rear cold.
