As the title suggested are many poeple running quick racks or is standard better, for road and track use Opinions please
I was going to consider one, when\if mine failed, be interested to know had them on a lot of cars in my youth
Just incase anyone is interested, Pilbeam now offer the range of Titan quick racks:
what are these quick racks?
It’s a steering rack with a reduced number of turns, i.e. Standard Rack is 2.75turns lock to lock and quick rack is 2.5 turns which doesn’t sound like a lot but I think the feel could be quite bit
Its like a steering rack, but quicker
“doh” now i am a muppet hahaha, do they really make that much difference…
Not much really.
I got mine as i had to buy one for the RHD to LHD conversion i had, so i opted for the quick rack.
It makes the steering feel sharper (and a little heavier when parking) but the cost of the rack itself is too high for the difference it makes.
I would only consider changing if the oem failed.
yea thats fair enough then. cheers
