FFS there are peeps on here who own/have owned race Exiges/211s with sequential boxes (both Quaiffe & Sadev) Caveat Emptor & good luck!
PS Personally I’d love a sequential, if it were practical/financially feasible for my useage, but it simply ain’t
From what I Was told, the French team were testing the box and they had done lots of hard miles without a problem. I vaguely remember over 1500 race miles and still going strong being mentioned.
I got the impression the box is ready for customers and that Quaife were pleased with it.
So that’s one development box with 1500 miles on it, and Quaife are pleased with the level of interest it is generating. Once there are 10’s of these out there with proven record then I might be interested.
Andy has hit the nail on the head IMO
Isn’t Frank running a sequential setup now?
Nope, it was a sequential shifter not a gearbox… To be honest with my torque and tall gears it was a waste of time and money.
I run an Elite 6 speed Sequential in a Westfield that I use on road and for trackdays. Totally transformed the car on track and its very easy and nice to use on the road as well.
Its been 100% reliable so far and doesn’t need expensive servicing. (touch wood!)
My friends similar westfield also runs the same box and its been 100% reliable even with him throwing 550bhp and over 450lb ft torque at it.
I wouldn’t buy anything from Quaife though!

Quick question on all the sequential options. Are any of them setup for flat shift?
The Sadev box is all set up for flatshift. You can also do clutch-less changes on the way down as it has the autoblip feature which is fine going 6th-5th-4th but gets a bit aggressive and wants to lock the rears in the lower gears if you shift a little too early. I still use the clutch on most downshifts to blend the drive back in… (it should give it better life span also :fingerscrossed: ).
Pesky is right though for track use only!!! I’ve been out on the road once with the Sadev box and after 10 minutes id had enough… Sitting in even light traffic/road junctions with the heavy on/off clutch and all the juddering and looking a total idiot just pulling away from a standstill… You only want to be doing it once either going out onto the track or away from the start lights…
