OK, so I know this is a longshot, but does anyone on here know anyone who works at Prodrive?
I have a friend who has very good technical skills working with cars and would probably work for them for free if he had the chance.
I know the ecomomy is depressed and all that but you never know… If he could get a CV over at least it’s a million to one chance rather than no chance at all.
cheers
Rob
Prodrive made my son redundant last Christmas, along with about 200 others, when they dropped the Subaru WRC team (he was actually building the racing Astons and I did tell him off for not making himself indispensible!) but it seems unlikely that they are looking for anyone without a proven track record at the top of the sport at the moment.
I do know someone else who works on the PR side there but nobody in the engineeing side.
I think every man and his dog wants to work there, in the automotive trade. Working for free might be an angle.
My mate works on the LMS team, changes wheels on the pit stops and builds the cars back at Banbury. I’ll give him a ring and post after i’ve spoke to him.
