Probax Retrim

I have a set of the Exige probax seats in my car that I’m looking to get retrimmed. Nothing wrong with them as such but they have blue panels and no exige logo stitched in. I would ideally like the carbon look panels too.

Any idea as to where would be best to get this done and approx costs?

Cheers

John.

I have heard that the actual Lotus trim shop will do this for you and the costs aren’t supposed to be too bad. Certainly worth finding out.

I wouldn’t be sending anything back to Lotus in the current climate - might never see it again

Christopher Neil do retrims of all interior bits - might be a bit far from Kent but worth giving Steve in service a call

Yea … The Administrators would love extra assets I reckon !

Cn s send the stuff to lotus for trimming as I had some stuff done with them.

I’d speak with Andy at Maidstone Sportscars.

Bell & Colvill ought to be able to help - I think they simply send them back to Lotus though.

I recommend Dave Kriesel , he used to run the trim shop at the Morgan factory, he’s the best trimmer in the UK

And works on VSCC stuff, Morgans , Lotus et al

Cheers chaps.

Andy at Maidstone Sportscars looks after mine anyway, didnt think to ask him about it.

Try Hangar111.

Try Gwen at Zodiac trimming. She is ex Lotus and does a great job at a good price. She did my later S2 type Motorsport Probax seat for my S1 from scratch.

Perfect, thats exactly the trim spec I’m looking for!

Yep, I am really happy with how they turned out. She used all the original proper carbon leather and the durable side material.

Stu

What did that cost - they look really smart.

They look very nice, think i will need my probax re padding at some point as is not as comfy as the passenger one these days :frowning:

Not sure what just a re-trim would cost as mine were done from scratch using blank seat shells so included everything.

I also had the carbon leather which bumped it up a bit.

I would guess at anything between 350 and 500 per seat depending on what you have done.

Gwen did everything on my car from door panels, full dash top and instrument surrounds, steering column surround, S2 Centre Console to go over the gear selector assembly all the little bits like the handle surrounds etc.

All in grey alcantara with subtle white stitching to match the paint on the car.I cannot fault the service.

Stu the uber bufty!!!

Looking good though Stu. I wonder if it will ever get driven
