Dave and Tim Mackie are doing the Albert Park round of Australian GT this weekend - the F1 weekend … its maybe going to be live on TV over here ( I hope )
Anyhow, wish them both the best to showcase Honda powered Exiges in front of a F1 crowd !

So here is some info From Dave MacKie
Well, Scuffers and I have been busy for the past two weeks preparing Wombat 1 and 2 for Round 2 of the Australian GT Championship at Albert Park next weekend.
Tim’s car has had a complete pull down and rebuild using new EliseParts wishbones, upright, Quantum dampers and new body panels so it is basically the same spec as my car that we finished in November.
Simon and Tim are at Wakefield now testing - so far it is impressive!
On Monday we load the cars into the truck and head for Melbourne.
I have cameras installed in the cars and we have a team photographer and media liaison officer who will endeavour to keep this thread up to date with photos, video and updates over the 4 days. Would be nice to get a team shot with Lotus F1… yeah right.
I am very excited and full of nerves but I’m hoping it will be a fun adventure.
On our return on Monday we have 2 days to prepare the cars before we leave for FOSC Bathurst the next weekend.

Dont know Rob, I dont think so … I wish I was there but Im flying off again Sunday … never got to a race yet

Well … not a great weekend it seems …
Race 1 Some Porsche got a bit out of shape on the first lap and rammed another . and Tim ran into that putting him out, Dave got stuck behind a slow Gallardo … Saw the race on TV and quite a few laps were behind the pace car
Race 2 Was red flagged as some Porsches had a big accident right at the start I beleive …

Race 3 was Live on TV this afternoon and Tim looked to be going well but it was red flagged on lap 7 as a Porsche ran into the back of a stationary Ascari …
