potential headlamp condensation cure

just a thought - haven’t tried it yet… how about coating the inside of the headlamp ‘dome’ with RainX or some other rain repellant?

Seems Lotus have no idea how to fix the problem…

I don’t think that will work. Rain repellent doesn’t seem to prevent the outside of the windscreen misting up, and RainX anti-fog doesn’t seem too brilliant.

How about just switching your headlamps on. Seems to clear the mist fairly effectively.

What a good idea! Perhaps the same theory would apply to the indicators on my BMW?

the weird thing is it makes mine worse… i drive around with the lights on all the time (makes car more visible… not posing)… the condensation is very bad - i’ll try and upload some pics later

why don’t we all just move to Spain! no condensio there!

i think its pretty bad. Thats on a very cold night, having run the lights for 40 minutes.

(sorry for the size cant figure out how to shrink)

Never mind the size (well yes actually ) but are you using a pinhole camera?

gets the point across

i fixed it!

I thought they were disconnected on BM’s?

Mine don’t get misted up much at all, but then it is kept in a garage. Are yours permanently misted, or do they get misted up regularly?

Just wondering if they have a leak?

they start off completely clear. then when i drive around with the lights on for a while, the mist up like in the pics.

Isn’t that a bit backwards? Must be freaky Welsh atmospheric conditions
