X1GGE, after nearly 5 years being off the road is going in for a mega service and MOT tomorrow over at B&C…

Good luck. Hope all goes well. And the bill is not too big.

Thanks!

I’m pretty certain the tyres will be condemned, what’s does anyone recommend for a daily/winter tyre (no track days)? I think it’s currently running on A039s…

R1R’s are probably best all rounder.

Some people are using AD08’s also and are happy.

I still use the AO48’s all year.

Use A039’s again…if you have the extra ’s needed over the other options. They were the OEM tyre for the S1 after all

AD08’s seem great for daily use…

Do we have a verdict yet? Is the news  or :frowning: ?

Hmm, heard nothing as yet, no news is good news?!

They could be out on the mandatory ahem extended ‘test drive’

:astonished:

5 year old ones are a little hard (and lively!) though, so make sure they nice and skwishy.

Is that a Jimmy Savile joke?

Oh man…

ok, well I’m pretty pleased to be honest… passed mot (with the usual messing about with number plates and the cat of course), service done, no issues at all, yay!

Tyres: Decided to go for the Toyo R1R’s simply because it’s unlikely I’ll be going anywhere near a track quite some time and I’ll be using it as a daily car over the next few months at least.
