I’d have taken it to Steve Guglielmi in Daventry personally.

john ex plans , has just opened his own workshop up in dudley called jsracing.

burt

Yeah the brains and technical know how from Plans(I guess I better state that is my opinion so as not to rock any boats) has now moved to Birmingham and opend his own place JS Racing. Give John a call on 07720 398699

Sean

There is always Phoenix in Accrington, not far from you at all, they get great reviews for their geo settings.

Boothy

There’s always Track V Road over in Clitheroe too, Ian Wilson is the guy to speak with for all things Lotus there.

Surely Phoenix is best/easiest, & definately cheapest for you, only being less than 1 hour away? I wouldn’t hesitate to use Phoenix again for geo, but if I were going elsewhere on your list - John in Birmingham

i was messed about last time i was there…booked me in first thing with my vxt. i turned up at 9am along with another chap who was apparently havin the same done to his vxt. anyway the decided to do his first. that took till 12.30. then it was dinner. finally got onto mine at 2pm and i left at 5pm…not happy. full day waisted hangin round the garage with no conversation from anyone. when bookin i was told it would take hour and half, get here for 9am.

plus the car was just set up to what ever olly wanted…i was not asked how i would like the thing to drive etc.

plans were much more in depth and personal.

i dont mind drivin and money is ok now so i dont mind paying a little extra for some tlc

oh and it would be a bonus to be able to have a power run on some rollers along with some advice on a re-map etc
ecu is omex

Plans are good - even I noticed the difference when they had finished. Plus, both my rear tyre wear evenly now.

john on birmingham phoned

new parts… inboard out board, front arb drop links, suspension lowering brackets, longer wheel stud conversion, plenty of spacers, gonna leve the steerin uj bit to john and replace if ness then a full geo…happy days.

Mines back there for lots more work after Easter, good move and he’s not a bad bloke for a Cockney

So to avoid wasting a full day you took an 8 hour round trip to Surrey instead!

I think Plans are a lttle better at the marketing / ‘massaging’ customer ego’s bit but I don’t think you would necessarily get a better geo set-up from them to be honest.

Can’t argue with that. Let me know if the red exige with the white viper stripes on it has an engine in it yet?

Re Phoenix. I can’t stop em talking when I’m there. I make excuses to leave so that they can get on with whatever work they have in hand. Perhaps you caught them on a bad day!

It’s had an engine in for a few weeks Steve, unfortunatly the one thats in it doesn’t have any pistons or rods or a crank in it. It’s a new super light weight version!!!
