Pistonhead Sunday Service

I wanted to give the car a run before Rockingham on Tue and so my middle boy and I headed down to the Pistonhead Sunday Service at the Mercedes Benz World.

Wow there was a lot of shiny metal on display, at a guess 750+ cars. James really wanted to see a rally car,…he was not disappointed :

The Stratos looked like a proper hard-working car, ace :sunglasses: Other highlights were an immaculately engineered Lola T70, fantastic carbon mini and if money were no object I was quite struck with this Ferrari F12. The Ferrari had real presence but as is typical of modern day Fezza GT’s it was absolutely MASSIVE!!

We got there late, so loitering on the grass out the back was my hunk o’ junk. Amongst all the garage queens my car proudly wore its patina of proper use…damn should have tried to chip a bit of the PF clag off those wheels.

The PH guy flagged me down as we were driving out and said he would like to do one of their Reader’s Wives features about the car…I agreed and he said he’d be in contact next week…

Looking good matey!!

very cool, spent sunday making sure mine was in fine fettle too

Readers’ Wives. I have experience in that area. Don’t give anything away that would embarrass the missus!

Saw your car there Benja - it looks serious!

Couldn’t help but ogle the Carrera GT, man that was nice!

Did you notice how badly kerbed the alloys on the F12 where? :astonished: Oops.

Lol - nice to see you with the correct apostrophe placement there,…unlike me  a true pro

Cheers bud, I did not spot you just a lovely shiny black S2, I also missed the Carrera.

I noticed the F12 alloys too, I think it was actually a dealer demo that the dealer bought along.

Thank you, Ben. Good spot. But what about the Champions League? Not an apostrophe anywhere in sight!
