Great day out and good to see everyone out at Brands. For 10minutes of racing it was fairly eventful with a fire and a roll Russ and Azrael stayed out of trouble in both the MESC and the AMOC Endurance race. Bad luck to Ben Robinson who has a major rebuild ahead after his fire…seeing a black Exige on fire sent shivers down my spine

Does anyone know how Ben’s car caught fire? I’ve seen a handful of these, and if there’s a trick to avoiding these or something to watch out for, please tell us.

No tricks I’m afraid, I’ve been on fire too and it does no end of damage to the car. The only thing to remember is to park as close as possible to a marshals post when it does happen so it gets put out ASAP.

How did the person in car number 3 manage to roll it? Thats quite scary.

He went into the gravel sideways and dug in. It was a very gentle roll, if there is such a thing.

Nah, that’s Sarah Chris & Scuffers race in Britcar, not the Mid Engined Series.
