long story short,

when i upgraded to 07 spec, we had some disasterous handling issues with “upgraded” pilbeam components that we’ve had to work around. my dad’s illness and eventual death last year precluded me from spending any time on track, so we’ve spent some time earlier this year to get these sorted, which thankfully they are now.

in the current field of GT cars, i’m still get torn to shreds down the straights though, so we’ve had to now address the power issues during our winter break. actually off to the dyno today to see the fruits of our labours…which so far are looking very optimistic.

Is it a turbo now then? Whats the max power a supercharger would get to on one of these motors?

I think 330 ish is the highest i have ever heard of with an SC on a Yota.

Ang, what have you done to the engine internals??

The car looks great Ang. I’ve been using Pilbeam components for years now so out of interest can I ask what handling issues you had?

Hi Azrael,

basically our issues centred around parts not being to spec required to work around Michelin sizes. we had to modify and remachine/design a lot of componentry to make it all fit let alone work.

i know of one racecar out your way that’s pushing 360ish with an MP62.

Sean, lowered C:R and lots of forged bits…my engine builder keeps many of the details close to his chest, so i don’t even know…
