Picture voting for Exige calender

Okay folks, the entries are in, all 65 of them!

Just to remind everybody, we are creating a Windows wallpaper Exige.com calender. Which should hopefully look a bit like SELOC’s fine version:

So when choosing bear in mind that a calender needs to fit in one corner. And Mrs G suggested that selecting with seasons of the year in mind could also possibly add something.

With ten months of the year remaining, we are looking to select our top 8 pictures, with one more to be made up (possibly this weekend!) from the Exiges.com group picture from Croft last year and the final one to come from a as yet untaken group picture at Donnington (29th March - book now if you haven’t!).

Please select your 5 favourite and voting will finish at 6pm next Friday (10th March), when the results should appear. After that I’ll ask for the full res images to be sent and we’ll put something together.

Unfortunately thumbs of each pic couldn’t be displayed in the voting form, so below is a summary of all the photos and under that is the correspondingly numbered voting form.

If you want to see the pics in full - see here

IDG,

That is one fine post. If you didn’t have 5 stars already you’d certainly have 'em now

Tim.

just a thought, but can we have a right and a left justified for each month - a pc and mac format version?

same image, just laterally inverted before the logo and calendar overlays…

Cheers. It’s less effort that it looks.

Well done Ian.

My vote is in!

Not quite sure I follow.

Do you mean landscape and portrait?

Or perhaps to mean if the car is on the left then flip the image so it’s on the right?

How would a Mac version be different?

I was going to come up with a March one with the Croft image and get some feedback/advice and perfect it for the others. We have a week or so.

Ian

if we take the seloc one as an example my mac will put my icons etc over the calendar and the logo - so it’d work much better if the car has horizontally flipped and the the logo and calendar were put on the other side…

as i’m typing this i can hear you saying it’s my own fault for using a mac. lol.

That sounds achieveable (and from your pics I’m sure you can provide any required pointers).

I’d be more worried about the silly resolutions Macs have!

like so. prolly easy enough to DIY. i’lll think it through before i post next time. heh.

i usually do the image 720 wide on a black background anyways.

You’ve done this before!

I think transparency of the logo and calander will be the problem with DIYing it. You’ve got anyway with your effort on the SELOC one because of the uniform backgorunds behind the images. If they’re delivered as JPGs (my plan) then you won’t be able to strip the layers out.

I’m sure we can sort it.

Ian

Good work

Well done

I hope everyone puts some effort into voting, and justifies the time you’ve put in.

Good effort -

Well Done and great pics from everyone

What a fantastic Idea

Yep… I’ve voted too… some great photos to choose from there

Thanks Ian… looking forward to the fruits of your labour

Aye, well done that man, & his Maddog for thinking of it in the first place

…&…Maddog for thinking of it in the first place

Absolutely, I wish to make no claim for coming up with the idea, just liking it!

I’m currently looking for a bit of freeware that will automatically change the wallpaper at the start of each month. There’s lots out there but they seem to want to change it every few seconds! Let me know if you know of anything.

Ian

I stole the idea from Seloc so it wasn’t me
