Sad, sad news. I knew Peter personally. He was a great man who shared many of his F1/Lotus thoughts with me one drunken night - especially about Nigel Mansell!

Indeed a very sad loss Mike, anyone who could work with Chappo for such a long period required rather special qualities - I tried to speak to PW at Snetterton earlier this year to recall of the time he cajoled us to help Team Lotus at the 1975 Race of Champions at Brands to assist changing Jackie Ickx’s engine and gearbox

The Memorial Service for Peter will take place on Tuesday 30th November at 11am at St Mary’s Church, Church Way, Whittlebury, Northants, NN12 8XH. No flowers please, but there will be a retiring collection for The Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust and Help For Heroes.
