Bloody show off!

it says the video no longer exists :S

what software did they use to do the video? Landing doesn’t look too realistic but it’s a nice try

Wondered what you meant as my car is on blocks!!!

Still cannot work out if this is real or a great bit of CGI!!! The Extra 200/300 is well capable of ‘hanging on the prop’ like that doing a ‘knife edge’ pass (on it’s side with lots of ‘top rudder’ applied… Would take a really cool dude to be able to make that up to a successful landing following a wing failure only 30 secs earlier.

It has been done before though… a long while back a guy had a wing fail folding up… it did not fall off however, so he flew upside down ‘locking the wing’ in position until the point of landing when he rolled the right way up with the wing failing upwards as he did so!

The thing that puzzles me most however is when the wing failed. These aircraft are stressed to 13+ ‘G’… have a look at the ‘Red Bull’ air race series!!! But the video shows the wing failing during a low speed ‘flick’ manoeuvre which does not really place that much stress on the wing… One does not know however what cumulative fatigue the aircraft had…

Or simply put… a bloody good bit of CGI!!!

Would like to know either way!

Sadly a similar thing happened to a friend flying a Stampe
shortly after a full rebuild by a qualified co using wrong bolts…Sadly she did not survive…bloody sad as she was a very competant aerobatic pilot.
She was not BOLD , definitely not OLD just a victim bloody neglegence by others…
But she was doing what she loved .
