My subscription was renewed for Xmas by the in-laws and it looks like the subscriptions have been sold to EVO as I had a letter saying that PC Mag was no more and that I’d be getting EVO instead unless I let them know
Shame as I quite liked PC as a replacement for EVO. I thought EVO mag gradually disappeared up its arse with the loss of Meaden et al and too much editorial dedicated to unattainable exotica or Top Gear type facsimile tom-foolery. Ho hum I guess it’s back to EVO.
Have you tried “Octane” or “Motorsport”? I can’t be arsed with with the likes of EVO/Top Gear etc, but enjoy the 2 mags which I mention whenever I get chance to grab a copy.

Seconded, Nigel Roebucks column in Motorsport, even though it’s usually mainly about F1, is worth it’s weight in gold! Full marks to the editor for letting him loose every month.
The only magazine I occasionally buy these days is Track and Race Car
Used to buy the likes of Car and Performance Car a few years back, but general Internet surfing is usually so far ahead of them in terms of information I just don’t bother anymore.
Thanks lads for the suggestions - I’ll spend a bit of time thumbing through the candidates in WHSmiths this weekend before deciding whether to tell EVO to stick it or not.
Big vote for octane mag, got into it rather by accident this summer late for a flight, quick sprint round the WHsmith at Stansted, saw some tasty looking 356s in on the cover n now Im hooked. Always a very nice read
Octane is great, especially now I am over 40 and can’t cope with the very downmarket NUTS-style graphics of TG and the childish smart-aresedness that permeates Evo these days.
Motorsport I like but can tend a bit too much to pipe and tweed jackets…
