parkassist finally fitted - first impressions

will doubtless annoy all the hardcore exiger’s who already think that aircon is a luxury too far, but just had a parkassist kit fitted by b+c. completely invisible from the exterior, its hard to spot on the interior:

basically a thin silver strip that runs the width of the rear clam, connected to a tiny speaker in the cockpit

first impressions? well, i wont be relying on it, but it is pretty good… only starts sensing with 2 feet to go, but then there are 3 different sensitivity levels… and most importantly it picks up short objects as well as tall. makes reversing into tight spots much easier.

it was the first kit B+C had fitted (i’m told), Wilsons fit them for 400. I got it as part of the original car sale, i dont know if i would have forked out that much for it but then again I dont know what B+C will charge to retro fit it. Its a modified Subaru kit.
