Outdoor S1 Car Cover from Specialised Car Covers

Green waterproof tailored S1 cover approx 1year old.

For sale at the bargain price of 99

Original cost ~210

Excellent condition as not parked under a lime tree etc - maybe a couple of cat claw marks IIRC.

Note this cover fits very snugly and will not suit cars fitted with a bling M/S Rear Wing

PM sent.

Well if you had a sensible Exige Ben you wouldnt need to sell it

Suppose you are now going to tell me that the new one will only cost 99.00!!

Are they going to come to your home to cut the full pattern? Given the type of wing you have the pattern could then be used to make others if anyone else has the same wing?

Just speak to them about what they can do for the sharp edges on the wing plates (I think you have them don’t you?) otherwise they will soon rub a hole in the cover.

Alas the new one won’t be 99 - don’t worry Pete.

They are going to have a look at some photos Steve and compare them to the existing Exige S1 pattern. Assuming it works out it will be suitable for anyone who uses Martin’s mounts.

Good point about the edges on the wing plates - I’m sure they will be able to stitch in some reinforcement.

New car cover arrived and I finally got around to cleaning the car and putting it on. Good job from Specialised - cover looks great

No that hunk o’ junk MGF is not mine it’s the Mother In-Law

Took the cat about 10 sec to get installed - little bastard better not sink his claws into it

Looks like the new material they have started using which should be harder wering and more resisitant to UV. Just be careful it doesn’t start to form a pool behind the engine cover & in front of the wing when it rains.

Nice one Ben!!!

See you at Anglesey with the Cat Holed one!!!

Ar you sure you still have a motorsport wing on or did you nick one off a 911 RSR now

Are you sure thats a domestic cat and not someting from the Zoo

I think specialised has ‘streamlined’ their tailoring & made fewer variants to save costs

Previous covers i’ve had have been a very snug fit, however the last one I got (for an S2) looks like it would fit S1/S2 & a non-standard rear wing.

Still good quality though

Yeah, I’m pretty happy with the quality. A pretty good fit given that I just sent Specialised a couple of pics and measurements.

We’ll see if water does collect betwene the wing and engine cover but aside from making it taught from the aerial to the top of the wing end-plates I don’t know how it would not create a recess.

Andy’s right though - it does make the wing look pretty monster esp from the rear as the cover goes down over the diffuser As for the cat,…he’s a Bengal and a right royal pain in the arse.

Cats freak me out! Always been partial to a nice pussy though!
