Outdoor Exige?

Hi,

I am planning on buying an S2 Exige but I would have to keep in outdoors. It’s a fairly safe area and it would be well off the street so security isn’t too much of a problem. My worry is that sitting outside in the rain and sleet will be bad for it, ie leaking roofs, too much water getting at the engine bay etc.

Does anyone here keep their Exige outside? Is it ok to do?

Quite a few of us keep out S1’s outside and have excellent tailored car covers from these guys .

my S2 exige has been outside pretty much all the time since ive had it, (a little over a year now.) Not had any problems at all. Certainly no leaky roof.

Thanks for the replies guys, you have laid my final worry about getting an Exige to rest. I’m planning to buy sometime around christmas so I guess I’ll see you on the track next year!

mine lives outside also, got it last october, and have never had any problems with leaks. I did however get a rusty grill, not sure if this is a common problem, but it was replaced under warranty. cheers ed

AFAIK my car spent the first 12 months of its life outside with no problems.

But my front grill is all rusty , im intrested that ‘edp’ got his replaced, any chance you can PM me details of the warrent claim, i might look into chasing this up.

Mine live outdoors mate, no problems yet… apart from occasionally being hard to find.

Mine is parked on the street all the time, no problems.

I contacted my dealer couple of days ago regarding this and i got a reply call today, and fingers crossed mine is going to the dealer to get sorted.

Result !
