Here in Germany we have never had optimax, its always been called V Power.
Glad they have brought out a 99 but dread to think what price they will charge (its what I need to run on for track use)
I was at the launch in London (closed street show in the shadow of the London Eye) yesterday - we (VSCC) arranged the ‘Ferrari through the ages’ display - 1952 500 GP car, Testa Rossa (the original 1950s 2 seat sports-racer), 250 SWB, 250 GTO, Tasman series rear-engined single seater (very rare these 1960s single seaters!) and two racing Daytona variants (estimated total value 25m).
Ended up discussing the running order with Tiff Needell (who compered the event) at about 11,00 p.m. on Tuesday evening!
As I understand it VPower is simply Optimax by a different name (there was a similar recent launch in Norway) (I missed the briefing as I was briefing the drivers…).
I hate working with old cars…
BTW - pedant’s corner - superseded is spelt with an ‘s’ in the middle

V-Power in Holland is 99 RON and so its unification of the premium stuff across Europe I guess as Optimax was 98
Just think what 1 RON can do for you

Let’s think…

Na, as I understand it Optimax is 95 with additives making it up to an equivalent of 97.
Think brand aliment across Europe is probably right though. Apparently there’s a lot of people from there coming here at the moment (Oo, topical Ian ).
Ian
but what you to remember is if your engine is not setup
for a 99 octane fuel then you are just wasting your money
as it will NOT give you any extra power
Which is what I loved about Optimax, seems to really suit the K.
Ian
Filled up tonight 99.9p a litre, cheaper than optimax!!!
