Always liked their metro though

Wonder if they offer an alternative for those wary of hoaving that much power (and potentially more) going through a standard g’box?
you would hope.
Then again - after all the FUD in the early durex days I have not seen a lot of noise about the durex boys ripping up their PG1s, yes most of them did not do tht much power but a few of them did.
I really would not want to be putting 300bhp and the armfuls of grunt that an audi is capable of through one. They are cheap though to replace though
They do say that the use of the PG1 gives better drive shaft angles, but I am not sure that bernards conversion has had major issues with that? Anyway its not just the angles that kill shafts, ultimately thats just something you have to get over with design and materials.
I’ve not done much track work in my 232bhp Duratec (only a 40min race and 3x30min test sessions) but the PG1’s certainly been OK so far with about 8k road miles added in Duratec guise. Guys car was just under 300bhp with Quaife gear cluster and seemed to be OK (baring one build related problem). I agree that turbo torque levels would probably be a bit much though…
It would probably make enough power to break the 'box if they took the wrapper off the air filter.
