IIRC that fire was actually a split CV boot throwing CV grease onto the exhaust?

yea I remember it being a cv boot too, I have some pic’s of “the” oil fire if someone can post them up.for me.

There was also the Nitron black car at Brands in the MESC days,… That was an oil fire I think…got pics somewhere.

True, but it just shows what happens when flammable stuff hits the exhaust, which was the point I was trying to demonstrate.

I thought it was a split cv boot. But as a consequence the inner cv failed and made a bid for freedom.

Through the oil filter!
