Oil Filter Question

Gday folks,

First post for a few years :astonished: and with a new profile as I have been unable to log in under Old profile (ElloMoto)

Quick question regarding a new Oil Filter I was about to put on the car, Exige S1.

The new one I have from Elise Parts is MG Rover branded - LPW100181 (the one I have removed is Lotus - B111E6038S)

The MG Rover filter is slightly shorter and has smaller feed holes and the rubber gasket has a smaller circumference…?

Would anyone advise against fitting?
I will grab a quick pic and attach…

I seem to remember I faced a similar dilemma all those years ago when my car was actually running and I was told the filters were interchangeable no worries.

Cheap filters here…About �2 each plus delivery…Good source if you change filters regularly.

Clive, I’ve moved to a Canton Racing non-bypass filter for mine… Ian Wilson’s been using one on his K20A to good effect ever since he blew his last one up at Spa… convinced me to make the investment :slight_smile:
