How difficult a job is it to pull through and replace, any cable ties to cut in the sill, dash to remove etc…
Cheers

Remove interior side sills, remove foam from front cavity, cut cable ties from within sill, will take 2 people to remove the hose, one feeding one end while the other is pulling…
When I replaced mine there was no clips or tie wraps in the sill.
I cut the fitting off the oil cooler end and attached the new hose to the old and pulled the old hose through bringing the new one through at the same time. I used parker push fit connections which have been on for several years with no problems. Just make sure the hose and fittings are compatible.
Cheers
Dead easy. But use a 180 degree fitting on the oil cooler rather than a 90 and then bend the pipe, and at the engine end there’s a much better way than the loop over the oil filter.
Someone must have a proper brain failure thinking that running the rubber oil hose towards the hot, exhausty thingy was a good idea!!
Cheers guys. My S2 had cable ties behind the dash. There’s some weeping but to be fair the cooler is not in to badda’nick. This one came off a low miler and looks like new so…
would advise you get the long steel mounting bracket powder coated.
The one that came off my 160 was rotten beyond repair and they are £100+ quid from lotus before you add the vat
They’re not standard Lotus hoses. But that’s not always a bad thing. I really would look and see if you can get a 180 though, all the pipes I have seen are cracked where the radius of the bend is too tight at the front.
PS What’s in the small box at the end? If it’s what it should be then you’re quids in!
I’ve had a lot of that Gav on this car, will do.
Jon will also get a 180 mate. what do you thinks is in the box lol…
The oil filter housing? Can’t get them new anymore, so either keep as a spare or flog for ££££’s
Yes, will likely keep it
John, just pulled my new hose through with the old hose (cut the fitting off the end of the old hose first. Used aeroquip socketless hose for mine. Job’s a carrot
One of my original hoses was Sikaflexed to the sill … I’m sure that was a mistake in manufacture but it was a little frustrating … much tugging and swearing released it !
The swearing definitely helps!
Yeah I centered a clutch at the weekend purely with 4 letter words
