Oil and filter.

Just a quick question, where do you get your oil and oil filters. I’m wanting to get an orig toyota part filter and will prob use silkolene pro s oil.

Who’s doing the best deals atm?

Cheers chaps

John.

I get my filters from the local toyota dealers, you want the standard size one, not the compact one
As for oil I use Opie oils, I wait for a really good deal and buy loads at once

Cheers Ade, as I suspected. Just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing a trick.

John.

ALWAYS use the Toyota filter as opposed to a pattern part, I can testify that this isn’t a good idea after I had an oil filter let go earlier this year.

I have found that even with the Discount Opie Oils isn’t always the cheapest - Mobil 1 was cheaper at Halfrauds when I last checked.

Jonny

I only use Opie for Silkolene never checked prices for other oils, I’m sure someone posted a fab deal for Mobil 1 at asda the other week as well?

Anyone got the part number for the filter, I assume its just the Toyota celica part but dont want to assume there is only one.

I resent having to book the car into a dealers/specialists just to do an oil change which I would normally do myself. Gotta have that service stamp tho as the car is low mileage.

How do you all feel about that, just drop em and smile nicely?

don’t have the part number just ask the parts guy for a 2004 VVTLi 190 Celica oil filter and then add the large one of the 2

Next time I get one I’ll post the part number
