How nice are they Phil  Love Ohlins.

I have a spare C spanner I can add (FOC).

Me too mate!

I’ve put a set on the Europa & going to get a set adjusted for the 340R I think

Mick Gardener’s adjusted a set Gav got me for the Exige, did a great job

Yup don’t go anywhere else!!

I’ve had a set of these on my S1 for some time and they are excellent. Indeed, I was one of the first S1 owners to use them so was asked by the factory to write up a report on them.

Is there a model/type of Ohlins specifically made for the S1 Exige or are these the ones?

I put Ohlins on a 111R and then Exige 260S. Superb upgrade.

Gav will have a few S1 sets for sale soon, I think basically you can get any set adjusted by Russell - not sure yet as it might make them too expensive

I’m going to have a word with him at Silverstone & see if I can’t persuade him to do a deal!

Cheers Phil, it seems Ohlins are the way to go. I’ll add some to the shopping list

I’ll check the part numbers for mine as I should still have the paperwork somewhere. As I recall they need a different rear bracket, which Lotus supplied.

Also the fitting instructions have the front remotes located on the lower wishbones; if the units are swapped left-right, then the remote can be fitted under the front cover with just a small mod to the arch liners to pass the hose through. Makes the remote more accessible and out of road grime!

Thanks for the info, could be another challenge getting hold of the brackets (if required)!

Sorry to hijack your sales thread Phil

Good call. Basically you’re putting Lotus Motorsport Ohlins on you’re Lotus Exige S1. They retain a good value. 2. Lotus not after market. Win. Win.

Edit, no need to change the brackets, just a couple of shims supplied by Russel. Mine are ex S2 onto an S1.

as are mine
