after a quick 800 mile jolly to north wales and back over the weekend (with plenty of rain) the heater fan has packed up:
i have a feeling this is pain in the arse job to swap… just as well its under warranty… off to B&C this weekend

Yes. It’s a clam off and aircon remove job. It happened to me on my last day of warranty last July so was fixed by dealer, but I think they screwed the aircon because the gas escaped a few months later. I’ll be taking the clam off to sort it when I get back from holiday.
phoned at 9am, by 11am they’d picked the car up - cant argue with that sort of service
yep… mine packed up about 3 months ago… exact same symptoms as you described…
except if i go out playing in the rain and drive thru some big puddles it starts working again…
then once the car has dried out it stops working…
im guessing there is a loose connection somewhere
new resistor pack needed I would guess, it sits in a tray of water most of its life thanks to quirky Lotus design. Fix from factory involves drilling drain holes!!!
Air con will need re-gassing too.
